A High Altitude Adventure
Last week in class (which you can read all about here), we learned all about the home decor market-- bedding, dinnerware, dishes, mugs, etc. The assignment was to create four dinner plates using a non-traditional floral theme (think seeds and flower pods). Here's what I came up with.
What do you think?
I can't recommend this class highly enough (I believe it will be offered again in October-- with all new assignments) for any of you out there looking to take your artwork to the next level.
It has been an amazing experience--and we aren't even halfway through. The presentation, the information, the encouragement and support, the positive energy, the essential message to find and follow your joy. Awesome.
This week, we are focusing on picture books. Yahoo!! As you know, I am enthralled with this segment of the illustration market. However, I will be out of town for most of the week, and designedly not sitting in front of my computer screen so the assignment will have to wait...
We are Telluride bound for the Bluegrass Festival on Wednesday. This is one of my very, favorite things to do. A few days to boogie down amid the unbelievable splendor of Telluride always replenishes. Medicine for my soul.
This will be a different trip-- with a two year old in tow. But as you know, she is a music aficionado and quite the dancer. High altitude adventure, here we come!
